On the afternoon of October 20, 2024, Anhui University’s Fourth International Cultural Festival, organized by the School of International Education of Anhui University, was successfully held at Mingqing Plaza in the Qinyuan Campus. The event featured 17 booths set up by students from 28 countries across five continents, introducing their respective countries’ folk cultures. SCOLAR Hefei Hub actively participated in this event, promoting and showcasing the rich and diverse cultural features of SCO countries, and fostering cultural exchange and sharing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All members of the SCOLAR Hefei Hub meticulously prepared for the smooth execution of the event. During the preparation phase, to highlight the cultural characteristics of SCO countries and promote the spirit and philosophy of SCOLAR, the Hefei hub members carefully prepared SCOLAR brochures, special snacks from SCO countries, and custom SCOLAR postcards. They also planned card games, charades, music interactions, and trivia quizzes to attract more young students to join our cultural exchange activities and jointly build a harmonious and friendly cultural exchange platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the event, the activities of SCOLAR Hefei Hub were warmly received by the students, with a constant stream of students coming to check in, play, and experience, maintaining their enthusiasm even in long queues. In the special cultural display area, students collected custom postcards and Anhui University building stamps, and under the guidance of the branch members, they handcrafted their unique postcards. In the game interaction segment, students could learn about Chinese and foreign cultural knowledge, taste snacks from different countries, and enjoy a feast brought by culture and food. In the music interaction segment, students could listen to music segments from different countries, enhancing their understanding and appreciation of different national music cultures, experiencing the concept that “music knows no borders, culture merges together” in beautiful melodies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the event drew to a close, students from different countries and ethnicities danced together to the music, playing a harmonious tune of world ethnic unity. The successful hosting of the International Cultural Festival provided a platform for youth worldwide to engage in cultural exchange and share beauty. Every participant could immerse themselves in the cultural charm of different countries and personally experience the joy of cultural exchange and collision. The unique characteristics of each country were fully displayed in a confined space, and diverse cultures were shared amid laughter and conversation.
