SCOLAR Minsk Candidate Hub finished the trial period

Improving the Urban Environment Event, April 20, 2024

The team of the Minsk Candidate Hub took part in the large-scale event, Republican Cleanup Day-2024. In total, more than 5,000 people took part in the action from the Belarusian State University.

The Republican Cleanup Day is held annually in April throughout the country.

International Tea Day, May 15, 2024

The team of the candidate hub in Minsk organized an event at the Faculty of International Relations of the Belarusian State University dedicated to the International Tea Day.

The event was organized jointly with the Department of Oriental Studies of FIR BSU and the Council of Communities of the Belarusian State University.

Within the framework of the event tea traditions of Belarus, China, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan were presented. The activists of the Council of Communities told the guests about the tea drinking traditions of their nations. Each student was able to try different types of tea.

A master class in Chinese calligraphy was held for the guests of the event under the guidance of university students from the People’s Republic of China. Everyone could practice writing characters in ink.

Seminar “The career path of an Asian studies specialist: the experience of professionals”

Invited speakers were Olga Berseneva, founder of the conversation club and online Chinese language school Nuli Chinese (Moscow), and Yulia Sobanina, Chinese interpreter, freelancer, popularizer of Chinese culture (Minsk).

The speakers shared their professional experiences in their fields.

Olga Berseneva told students about the first steps in building their own business, the stages of its development and expansion, as well as the difficulties that a young entrepreneur may encounter along this path.

Yulia Sobanina made a presentation and spoke on the topic “Choose a job you like, and you will never have to work a day in your life”: how and where to look for your professional path in order to find your dream job,” based on her rich personal experience in the field of oral and written translation.

Team-business game “17000 days”, May 25, 2024

The team of the SCOLAR Minsk Candidate Hub organized a team-business game “17,000 days” dedicated to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Three teams took part in the game, consisting of the students from the Faculty of International Relations and the Faculty of Law of the Belarusian State University.

The game was held in an “auction” format, where teams took turns choosing the most desirable Sustainable Development Goal from the proposed list for further study and presentation in their final speech.

Each team had the opportunity to study the Sustainable Development Goals in more depth and analyze the possible effect of their implementation in their respective countries.
