SCOLAR at the International Volunteers Forum in Astana

On June 19-20, International Volunteers Forum organized by the United Nations took place in Astana, Kazakhstan, where SCOLAR Bishkek Hub also took part.

The aim of the Forum is to improve the consolidation and development of international volunteer activities. The Forum invited speakers from various countries and fields, including the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, UN Resident Coordinator in Kazakhstan Michaela Friberg-Story, UN Volunteer Programme Coordinator Toily Kurbanov, Director General of the UAE Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence Afra Mohammed Al Sabri, etc.

There were info sessions and open microphones for the presentation of successful volunteer projects and eco-initiatives.
