On June 7 SCOLAR Network announced the official opening of its 13th hub, SCOLAR Hefei hub, in Hefei City, Anhui Province, China. The ceremony took place at Anhui University.
The hub opening was hosted by Professor Xuewen Hu, Director of the International Office of Anhui University, who warmly welcomed the attendees. Secretary of the University Party Committee Jingmin Cai delivered the opening remarks, highlighting the significance of the collaboration between SCOLAR Network and Anhui University through SCOLAR Hefei hub. Additionally, a special video message from Mr. Vladimir Norov, Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (2019-2021) and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan (2006-2010, 2022), was shared, where Mr. Norov emphasized the importance of international youth cooperation and such platform as SCOLAR.
Wentian Wang , the Founding Curator of SCOLAR Hefei Hub, introduced the vision and mission of the hub, setting the stage for an exciting journey ahead. The Executive Council members of the hub also presented themselves. Victoria Khu, CEO of SCOLAR Network, extended her heartfelt congratulations to the Hefei Hub and expressed her best wishes for their future endeavors.
A significant highlight of the ceremony was the official unveiling of the SCOLAR Hefei Hub logo, unveiled by the Dr. Jingmin Cai, Ms. Victoria Khu, the leaders of Anhui University and Curator of SCOLAR Hefei Hub.
The opening of the SCOLAR Hefei Hub marks an important milestone in SCOLAR Network’s mission to impact youth in SCO region. This hub will serve as a vibrant point for networking and the promotion of cross-cultural understanding. We are proud to establish our presence in Hefei, a city known for its rich cultural heritage and rapid development.
