SCOLAR Network organized Agora at the World Youth Festival in Sochi!

From March 1 to 7, 2024, the World Youth Festival took place in Sochi in Russia! The festival has welcomed young people from all over the world to exchange ideas on how to build a better future.

SCOLAR’s core values are strengthening connections, promoting empathy and dialogue, creating strong connections and social impact among young people from both the SCO countries and around the world.  

On March 4, 2024, the World Youth Festival in Sochi, Russia, hosted the conference “Agora: Intercultural Dialogue of the member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization”. The conference was organized by the SCO Youth Council and SCOLAR Network.

Head of the Russian national part of the SCO Youth Council, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economics of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Denis Kravchenko, Deputy Secretary General of the SCO Grigory Logvinov, and Executive Secretary of the SCO Business Council Sergey Kanavsky, delivered welcoming speeches at the session.

Presentations were made by representatives of the national units of the SCO Youth Council from China, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, as well as a representative of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union.

An interactive game about the SCO and the culture of the SCO family countries was also held during the session. SCOLAR Network hub members from China, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Russia, Uzbekistan and conference participants came up with initiatives in the field of youth entrepreneurship, ecology, water resources protection, and culture.

Commemorative certificates and gifts were presented to the participants of the session.
