On February 22, 2022, the SCO Center of Friendship and Cooperation in Tajikistan organized a round table in Dushanbe under the topic “SCO 2022: implementing new development goals”, which was held in online and offline formats.
The Deputy Secretary General of the SCO G.S. Logvinov and SCO National Coordinator of the Republic of Tajikistan A.L. Saidmurodzoda delivered their welcoming remarks to the participants of the round table.
A speech was also made by Professor of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Dr. Rashid Alimov, senior diplomats of the embassies of the SCO member states in Dushanbe, Secretary General of the Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation Commission of the SCO Zheng Wei, Director of the Center for Public Diplomacy of SCO in Uzbekistan K.K. Sabirov, President of the SCO Countries Youth Platform SCOLAR Network Victoria Khu.
SCOLAR president Victoria Khu thanked the Center for the invitation to speak at the round table, congratulated the Center on the anniversary of its foundation and noted the close relationship between the Center and the Youth Platform, including the joint organization of the VII “Model SCO” in May earlier last year during the presidency of the Republic of Tajikistan. Victoria also expressed hope for the successful holding of the joint IX “Model SCO” in March this year in a trilateral format together with the Center for Public Diplomacy of SCO in Uzbekistan. Also, SCOLAR and the Center this year plan to jointly open a SCOLAR hub in Dushanbe to attract Tajik youth to join volunteer activities and connect closer to the region.

The SCO Center of Friendship and Cooperation in Tajikistan was established on February 22, 2021 under the structure of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan in honor of the SCO 20th anniversary under the chairmanship of Tajikistan in the Organization.
