Congress of the International Council of the WYF in Moscow

On October 26-28, Moscow hosted the Congress of the International Council of the World Youth Festival, which has brought together the Heads of the National Preparatory Committees from around the world, the WYF 2024 Ambassadors and heads of youth and children’s organizations.

SCOLAR Co-founder and CEO Victoria Khu received invitation to become the World Youth Festival Ambassador and take part in the Congress.

On the first day of the Congress, Sergey Kiriyenko, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation and Chair of the WYF 2024 Organizing Committee, addressed the delegates, 120 foreign leaders from more than 90 countries, including representatives of the WYF 2024 National Preparatory Committees from 70 foreign countries. The Committees operate all over the world in North, Central and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

Sergey Kiriyenko welcomed the foreign guests and told them about the regional program for foreign participants and the work of the World Youth Festival International Division. He noted that more than 160,000 people from 180 countries had applied to participate in the Festival, which is being organized by some 400 youth organizations worldwide.

20,000 young leaders in education, science, international cooperation, culture, volunteering, charity, sports, business, media, etc., including 10,000 foreign participants, will take part in the WYF 2024.
